The National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria in Collaboration with the Global Labour University (GLU), University of the Witwatersrand Johannesburg, South Africa and with the support of the Friedrich Ebert-Stiftung (FES) organized a 2-day capacity building workshop for the union Leadership and Organizers.   

The Workshop was in furtherance of the ENGAGE South Africa 2022/2023 Course which two of the union’s staff attended with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Trade Union Competence Centre for Sub-Saharan Africa (FES TUCC) and the Trade Union Solidarity Centre of Finland (SASK).

It therefore aims at transferring and utilizing skills developed during the course with the support of the visiting Programme Coordinator, to build and strengthen union’s organizing effort and capabilities.

The outgoing Resident Representative of the FES, Dr. Daniel Mann attended the capacity building workshop held at Denis Hotel, Abuja from 28 to 29 June, 2023. 

The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Warren McGregor, Programme Coordinator, Global Labour University (GLU), University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
