Every four years the NUTGTWN holds its National Delegates’ Conference which is the highest decision making organ of the union. The union held its 12^th Quadrennial Delegates’ Conference in Abuja on 24^th of March 2020 which was attended over 200 delegates/observers from the various branches.

Participants also include Union’s Veterans, Textile Employers and other invited quests. The high point of the 12^th Delegates’ Conferences was election of National Officers to pilot the affairs of the Union till the next Delegates’ Conference in 2024.

The conference among other decisions approved the retirement of Former General Secretary Comrade Issa Aremu, mni and appointment of Comrade Ali Baba as Ag. General Secretary.

The union also recently appointed 2 new acting Deputy General Secretaries following the retirement of Former Deputy General Secretaries, Comrade Sylvester Chimezie and Comrade Dele Ojo. Comrade Ismail Bello, Former Deputy General Secretary has been appointed by NLC as Deputy General Secretary.
