The 2-day in-plant seminar held at Chellco seminar hall tag with the theme: Occupational Safety and Health at Work and Productivity Improvement commenced with an opening ceremony on Thursday, 9^th June 2022.  The seminar had twenty one (19 males and 2 females) participants in attendance.

One of the union roles is to educate their workers, safeguard the basic condition in decent work environment.  As we know Occupational health is growing among workers and employers worldwide. This concern has gradually broadened to include all kinds of factors at work or related working conditions that may cause or contribute to disease or ill health at work.

The important of this In-plant seminar is based on the discussion of health and safety issues which focused on the totality of actions required to prevent health problems, injury or death to a worker at workplace. Given the fact that this responsibility is often neglected it becomes necessary that workers be aware of the safety precautions in the Factory.

It is a statement of fact to say that for optimum productivity, the health of a worker should be sound and the environment conducive so as to enable them contribute efficiently to the growth of the industry.
