About the Book
Tears Not Enough is not an autobiography. Yet this remarkable compilation of reflections over the years have brought to the fore the authors perspective on topical national and international economic, social and political issues. Sub-themes examined with amazing passion include return to work, productivity, elections, trade union organizations and mass empowerment, energy crisis, industrialization, dictatorship and democracy, gender and the Media, dependency and independence, women participation, apartheid and liberation, leaders and leadership, international trade and developments, tragedies like September 2011, the Bellview and Sosoliso air disasters, iraqi war and HIV/AIDS pandemic. As diverse as these issues are, the central theme is development and democarcy. Humanity is imperiled unless global production, distribution and government crisis are resolved. Tears Not Enough, a dedication to the parents of the Sosoliso air disaster captures the author’s perspectives; lamentation of the decay in Nigeria is not enough but direct mass policy actions are needed to combat poor governance and underdevelopment.
