The International Workers Day also known as Mayday is a public holiday celebrated every 1^st of May every year to celebrates the dignity of Labour.

As usual, the Union joined other affiliates of NLC and TUC across the States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to participate in the rallies and match past in commemoration of the 2022 May Day under the theme: “Labour, Politics and the Quest for Good Governance and Development in Nigeria”.

The union used the platform to draw attention on the plight of textile industry in Nigeria and calling for urgent measures by the government to address the critical challenges undermining the growth and prospects of the sector.
