The NUTGTWN had the 5^th edition of her National Women Conference from Monday 22^nd to Tuesday 23^rd November 2021 at Mohammed Bello Hall, NUTGTWN National Secretariat, textile Labour House, Kaduna. Over 70 delegates and observers drawn from textile and garment factories and affiliated self employed tailors attended the conference.

The theme “Women and the world of work: Gender Based Violence and Harassment (GBVH)” was aimed at enhancing union’s sensitization efforts to enlighten members about the basic components of GBVH and what constitutes harassment in the workplace. It was also aimed at building the confidence of participants to encourage victims to speak out against any act of abuse, harassment and violence.

The highlight of the conference was the election of women committee. The following officers were elected to serve as National Women Committee for the next four years:
